About the centre:

The award-winning Humanities Research Institute at the University of Sheffield is one of the leading providers of research and development services for the digital Arts and Humanities. With over 16 years experience, our mission is to support the innovative use of technology within Arts and Humanities research as both a method of inquiry and a means of dissemination. We perform a range of activities under the name HRI Digital:

  1. Partnership with internal and external clients on projects in the Arts and Humanities in which there is an ICT component or digital output. This includes:
    • Assistance with project conception and proposal development (incl. specifications such as the AHRC's Technical Appendix).
    • Planning and day-to-day management of your project's data development process.
    • Training research staff in all necessary ICT and data development skills.
    • Development of the digital output, from the prototype to the final deliverable.
