project: Landscape/Cityscape

Investigation into the roles of Art in Public Spaces including the Internet by means of applying the metonym 'Landscape/Cityscape' to the production of art. The work was intended to engage with debates about art in public places and offer new possibilities of looking at landscape. Eventually there emerged three main developments within the project: one that followed the plan towards a portable landscape laid out in the original Fellowship proposal; one in relation to internet- and computer-based works of art; and one that followed a philosophical dimension relating to fluid conditions. project: Staging Exile, Migration and Diaspora in Hispanic Theatre and Performance Cultures

project: The Prehistoric Stones of Greece: a resource from field-survey

The Prehistoric Stones of Greece (SOG) set out to enhance the research value of survey projects conducted in Greece that had recovered Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic materials. SOG’s focus was to establish a database of stone tools and prehistoric lithics generally and by drawing this material into a common format enhance the resource for a variety of archaeological purposes; in particular academic research and heritage management. project: "It was forty years ago today...": Locating the Early History of Performance Art in Wales 1965-1979

The project examines how performance art histories are constructed, paying particular attention to the development of the art form in the context of Wales. [read more]

project: British Cartoon Archive Digitisation (BCAD) project

The British Cartoon Archive Digitisation Project (BCAD) involved a redesign of the British Cartoon Archive (BCA) website, to increase its functionality and usefulness to researchers, teachers, and students, and the addition of new digital images from the BCA collection. The new digital images came largely from the huge Carl Giles collection, which arrived at the BCA in 2005 and is now totally accessible through the BCA online catalogue. [read more]
